FAQ

What is Quartex?

A Quartex surface is composed of 93% pure natural Quartz, and is combined with a small percentage of pigment and resin. It is manufactured in our state of the art facility using a German engineering patented process. You can feel the Quartex difference!

Can a Quartex surface handle heat? Can I put hot pots and pans on it?

Like all Quartz natural stone countertops, Quartex surfaces are heat resistant. But keep in mind, that any natural stone surface can be damaged by sudden and rapid temperature changes, especially near the edges of the surface. For that reason, we always recommend that you use hot pads or trivets when dealing with hot pans or pots.

How does Quartex compare to granite?

Because it’s made from 93% Quartz, a Quartex surface is extremely hard, nonporous and maintenance free. Just use a mild soap with warm water to clean your Quartex surface. Quartex is also stain resistant and never needs sealing or reconditioning. Granite is a porous stone that needs to be sealed regularly with a chemical treatment. Since it can absorb liquids and food, granite has more potential for staining and bacterial growth within the countertop.

Do you have a warranty? What does it include?

For our residential customers, Quartex has a “lifetime limited warranty.” That means that for any of our products we cover you against any manufacturing defects for as long as you are the original owner of the surface. Upon purchase of a Quartex surface we ask that you register your warranty here to prevent any issues down the road.
